Terms and Conditions

Somerset Sheep trekking is a working farm and at times there may be machinery in operation and general farm work being conducted.

A working farm is a dangerous place and all children are always the responsibility of their supervising adult.

Sheep and other Farm Animals can be unpredictable, and in some circumstances, they can react in an unexpected manner. Every precaution has been taken to minimise the associated risks. However, we cannot be held responsible for any untoward or unforeseen incidents.

The terrain on the farm can at times be uneven, slippery and wet. Please take care and listen carefully to instructions during visits.

The risk of infection from farm visits is very small, but the diseases caused can be very serious. By following simple guidelines, similar to everyday basic hygiene recommendations, the risk can be easily minimised. Please ensure that hands are washed after contact with animals and always before eating, with soap and water (wipes, gels and sprays are not effective).

Pregnant ladies are not recommended to come to the farm during lambing season (Feb and March) due to zoonotic infections which can cause complications in pregnancy.

Somerset Sheep Trekking and Lower Woodram Farm assumes no responsibility for any accident, injury or other unforeseen event which may occur during the conduct of one of their farm experiences.

By ticking this box, I can confirm that I have read, understood and will adhere to the Somerset Sheep Trekking terms and conditions and will listen when verbally briefed on how to behave safely and appropriately during the visit.
