Frequently Asked Questions

When can I arrive?

Visitors must arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the trek. When you get to the farm, pull into the yard and your trek leader will come and direct you to where to park. Please no roaming the farm without your trek leader. It is a working farm and there may be dangerous machinery in operation.

Can I bring a pushchair/wheelchair?

The terrain is generally uneven and therefore unsuitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Babies in carriers welcome.

Can we roam the farm?

We run our sheep trekking and lambing experiences alongside a working farm. There will be areas visitors will not be able to enter and we ask you to respect that, as we don't want any of our customers or animals put in danger. Don't worry though, there will be opportunities for you to see the farm and our animals throughout the trek!

Where do we park?

There will be somebody to direct you where to park on arrival. Please note that for safety and security reasons, we cannot allow members of the public to stay on site, unless they are participating in a trek.

Can I bring my dog?

We do not allow dogs on site. Sheep do not like even the friendliest dogs, so please do not bring any four legged friends to our farm at all.

Are Children Welcome?

Our sheep love children and children are more than welcome on experiences. However, a farm is a dangerous place. Please ensure your children are well behaved, listen to instruction and are supervised at all times. The activities we offer are aimed at children aged 3 and over, however we can adapt to accommodate, so please get in touch if you would like to bring younger children.

Can I come, but not Trek?

Spectators are not permitted. We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all. When purchasing your tickets, please note the required ratio - 1 adult to 2 children.

What shall we wear?

As this is a working farm, things can get a bit muddy, especially if the weather has been poor. Please dress accordingly. Sturdy shoes/boots are a must. If you are wearing open toed shoes or sandals, you will not be permitted to trek.

What if the weather is bad?

We do our very best to continue walking in all weather conditions, providing we deem it possible and safe for our customers and sheep. We understand it can be disappointing, but cancellations due to bad weather are at our discretion. If we need to cancel we will re-arrange an alternative date for you within the next 12 months or offer a full refund.

Do you have toilets?

We do! We have a toilet with baby changing facilities.

Can I change my booking?

No adjustments can be made on the day so please make sure your group numbers are correct for the number of sheep you have booked. If any changes are required, please contact us a minimum of 12 hours in advance of your walk. If you need to cancel, we require 7 days notice for a full refund.

But most of all please come and have fun!!! Enjoy our lovely sheep and beautiful surroundings!
